1. Contact your insurer (National General Insurance Company) 

To start with the procedure of how to claim bike insurance National Insurance, it is important that the insured should inform the insurance company as soon as any unfortunate incident with your bike takes place such as a theft of bike, accidental damage etc. You can call up the National General Insurance company at 02248971018 to reach out to the insurer within 24 hours of an accident. Further, you must take enough photographs and images  of the accident site  where the incident took place and note down names of witnesses to serve as proof at the time of filing the claim process.

2. Make a Claim

Once you inform the insurer, a customer care representative from the National Insurance bike company will get back to you within 24 hours seeking the following information:

  • Policy Identifier or the policy number of your bike insurance policy
  • The time and date when the accident took place
  • Description of the estimated loss that took place
  • The loss evaluator representing the insurance company will come for a survey of the vehicle at the accident location
  • You would also require to give the name of the person driving the bike, contact details of the person, and his/her driving license details
  • Further, it will require the contact information of the insured

The evaluator assigns the insured a claim reference number for future use. The insured can also pick up the claim form at the nearest branch besides downloading it online.

3. Assessing Damages

The insurer sends an evaluator/surveyor to the location to examine the extent of damage that took place in the bike because of the accident. The insured can handover the National Insurance bike claim form, policy papers and other pieces of evidence to the evaluator.

4. Claim Settlement 

After evaluating the situation and the damages well, the surveyor approves the claim. Once the approval is received, the insurer subtracts the deductibles and depreciation amount and compensates the policyholder for the costs incurred in fixing the bike at the garage. 5. No-Claim Bonus (NCB)
