30 years of age is the benchmark after which most people tend to gain weight. And the one reason that supports in the weight gain process of most people is unhealthy eating habits, which make people obese and causes several chronic health conditions. So, what is the solution? Eating right or healthy food and at least half an hour of exercise every day. Yes, by avoiding sugary and junk food and picking healthy foods to eat which are nutritious, you can keep a control on your weight. All you need is to include lots of nutrient rich food in your diet that contains enough fibre, proteins, iron and minerals etc. Of course, you have to cut out sugar and complex carbohydrates from your diet too.
Another reason for eating healthy food is to avoid diseases like different kinds of cancers. Yes, you can reduce the risk of cancers by maintaining a good lifestyle of healthy food and exercise. Obesity, which is one of the prime reasons for various diseases including cancer, is caused by unmindful binging on junk food. So, it is important to eat a diet that is rich in natural products like green vegetables, fruits, beans, legumes, and nuts that contain phytochemicals like almonds, cashews, walnuts, peanuts etc. These food items act as antioxidants which protect cells from getting damaged and thereby prevent the development of cancer cells in the human body. Thus, make sure to include such healthy foods to eat every day.
Heart ailments or cardiovascular diseases are very common among the elderly as well as the young people these days. There has been a tremendous rise in the cases of premature heart ailments and strokes in recent times. And the primary reason for such an increase in these diseases is our lifestyle. Here, stress and anxiety plays the key role in affecting your heart with diseases. So, managing stress level is important and so is cultivating good eating habits. Intake of food like almonds, hazelnut, peanuts, green vegetables and sunflower seed etc. which are known as heart friendly food is important on a regular basis. These food items have a high level of vitamin E that supports in keeping your heart healthy.
Eating junk not just leads to diseases, it also brings upon noticeable effects on your skin by making it dull. Also, if you do not include healthy food in your diet, it makes your skin look pale and tired. So, including healthy foods items that are rich sources of Vitamin C and E would support your skin to regain its glow. Avocados, tomatoes, walnuts, fatty fish and even dark chocolate can serve you as good alternatives to do wonders for your skin.
With age, your cognitive functions start declining. Adopting healthy eating habits from early on in life can help in avoiding the early arrival of age related diseases like Alzheimer’s, dementia etc. So, include food items containing polyphenols and flavonoids like nuts, flaxseeds, vegetables, olives, spices and herbs etc., Also, include food rich in omega 3 fatty acids as well as good amount of Vitamins C, D and E to prevent your cognitive functions getting deteriorated. Along with good eating habits, practicing regular physical work out is also important as there are several benefits of regular exercise including improving cognitive functions.
