Further, the Motor Vehicles Act of India, 1988 makes it compulsory for every person riding a bike to carry his/her license all the time when he/she is on the road. As per your comfort, you can carry the hard copy of the document or carry a soft copy by linking your license to the digital apps like mParivahan or DigiLocker.

The RC serves as an evidence that the bike is lawfully yours and that you have got it registered with your nearest RTO or Regional Transport Office.
