The transfer of vehicle ownership under Noida RTO is classified into three kinds:
In case of direct sale, both the owners of the vehicle (current and new owner) should notify the RTO about the transfer of ownership. They will also have to produce a No Objection Certificate to make the transfer process legal.
If the vehicle is bought at an auction (such as a state or central government auction), the new owner is required to file for ownership transfer with the RTO Noida within a month (30 days) of the auction.
If a registered owner of a vehicle dies, the law allows the successor to operate the vehicle for the next three months without transferring ownership. However, the successor is required to notify the RTO within this duration and apply for registration in their name
Active vehicle registrations can be renewed 60 days before the expiry of the registration period. For renewal of vehicles, you can use Form 25. The form must be duly filled and submitted to the RTO while applying for a renewal. Pay any tax due on the vehicle (if any) and also the required fee to get the vehicle registration renewed.

Vehicle owners can buy insurance as per their requirements, such as they can opt for third-party vehicle insurance, comprehensive vehicle insurance as well as Own-Damage Insurance coverage, among others. However, as per government regulations, a minimum of a third-party insurance policy is a must for every vehicle to cover the liabilities of third parties on the road.
Car insurance can be bought online or offline as per the comfort of the car owner.
